My Journey
I was born and raised in Gakui Karima Mwaro, Kandara, Murang'a County. Farming is in my blood. I watched my parents and neighbors wake up before dawn, work the land with their hands, and still struggle to make ends meet. Unpredictable weather. Pest outbreaks. Middlemen who bought low and sold high. Banks that refused to lend to smallholder farmers.
After completing my training at the NYS Camp Engineering Institute, I knew technology could solve these problems. I learned about AI, IoT sensors, and data analytics. I realized that the same technology used in Silicon Valley could be used in Kandara, Kiambu, and Kisumu.
Why I Built Kim Agri Nexus
I built Kim Agri Nexus because I believe that no farmer should go to bed hungry. I believe that our farmers deserve fair prices, accurate weather forecasts, and access to financing. I believe that Kenya can feed itself and export to the world.
